This is a great plugin for Beagle that will index DICOM files on a filesystem. Its great for looking for terms or files relevant to certain tag value information. Supposing you wanted to move all files in a certain location that matched a Patient Name, Procedure, or Age… Beagle lets you search through and locate it much like you do pdf’s or office documents. Seems to me this could be a great tool for migrations or if your database server for your PACS goes “Casters Up.”

I did make a small screencast. It wasn’t really necessary, it’s not really well done, but what is amazing is that I did this during a flight delay. Ironically the people with Bluetooth headsets were looking at ME funny.
